soijarouhe (“kibbled soy”) + kastike (“sauce”)
Pronunciation[edit]
- IPA(key): /ˈsoi̯jɑˌrou̯heˣˌkɑstikeˣ/, [ˈs̠o̞i̯j(ː)ɑ̝ˌro̞u̯ɦe̞k̚ˌkɑ̝s̠tik̟e̞(ʔ)]
- Rhymes: -ɑstike
- Syllabification(key): soi‧ja‧rou‧he‧kas‧ti‧ke
Noun[edit]
soijarouhekastike
Usage notes[edit]
- The term "kibbled soy sauce" does not seem to be used in English. The English terms referring to soy-based sauces tend to be quite specific, in the way of "soy bolognese" or "soy garam masala". The term "soy sauce" has the same specific sense as Finnish soijakastike.
