Named for scientist Étienne Destot (1864-1918).

  1. (anatomy) The space in the wrist bounded by the hamate, capitate, triquetral and lunate bones.
    • 1953, Acta Radiologica:
      It has been referred to by the French as the "space of Destot" (Barbet, 1948) and will be termed here the "medial intercarpal space".[1]
