Etymology[edit]
Blend of Style (“pseudonym of Neil Strauss in the seduction community”) + AMOG, reportedly coined by Owen "Tyler Durden" Cook.

stylemog (third-person singular simple present stylemogs, present participle stylemogging, simple past and past participle stylemogged)
- (seduction community) To patronize or talk down to someone by complimenting them as though from a position of authority on the compliment's subject.

They all laughed again. Evidently I was Stylemogging them.

- Strauss himself created "Stylemogging", a more subtle technique in which one uses barbed compliments to establish oneself as the supreme arbitrator of whatever is under discussion.
