superoctave (plural superoctaves)

  1. (music) The octave above another.
    Succeeding superoctaves are pitches found at frequencies four, eight, sixteen times, and so on, of the fundamental frequency.
  2. (music) A coupler in the organ by means of which is sounded an octave higher than the one struck.
  3. (music) An organ stop two octaves above the principal.
