Ladino[edit]
Etymology[edit]
From Latin trānslātus, perfect passive participle of trānsferō (“I transfer, convey”). Though it is cognate with terms used in the modern-day forms of languages including French translater and Spanish trasladar, it retains the meaning of older cognates like Middle French translater.
