trubba (present trubbar, preterite trubbade, supine trubbat, imperative trubba)
- to blunt, to dull (make not sharp)
- Kroken hade trubbats (av) mot sjöns stenbotten
- The hook had been blunted by the rocky bottom of the lake
- (figuratively) to blunt, to numb, to desensitize (make less sensitive, sharp, or the like)
- Synonym: avtrubba
- Allt våld man ser gör att man till slut trubbas av
- All the violence you see eventually makes you numb ("does so that one eventually is blunted")
- Sömnbristen hade trubbat av omdömet
- Lack of sleep had clouded her judgment
