- (most dialects) to grow; to become larger

- When the roots find no free space, a plant won’t grow any further.
Usage notes[edit]
- The past tense is restricted to Ripuarian and northern Moselle Franconian. Otherwise the forms wähs, wiehs; jewahße are Ripuarian, while wähst, wiehst; gewahs(t) are Moselle Franconian.
