Ancient Greek[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Maybe related to κῶνος (kônos, “cone”), due to its narrow leaves with pointed teeth. Furnée connects the word also with κονή (konḗ) and ἀκόνιτον (akóniton), which leads to a Pre-Greek origin.
