From Latin centaurēa. Doublet of قَنْطُورِيُون (qanṭūriyūn) borrowed directly from Ancient Greek.

     There are two types of centaury, small and larger. The small is hoten in the language of proximity centaurie. and I have seen in some glossaries the large hoten Quraysh broom.
