Etymology[edit]

From African dialectal Arabic رَجِينَة (rajīna, resin), from Latin rēsīna (resin), ultimately from Ancient Greek ῥητίνη (rhētínē, resin). Doublet of راتینج (ratinec, turpentine; resin).
