زَكَوٰة (zakāhf

  1. Archaic spelling of زَكَاة (zakāh, zakah).
    • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 2:43:
      وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱرۡكَعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
      wa-ʔaqīmu ṣ-ṣalāta wa-ʔātu z-zakāta wa-rkaʕū maʕa r-rākiʕīna
      And maintain the prayer, and give the zakat, and bow along with those who bow [in prayer].
