Etymology[edit]
Literally, “May God absolve him.” Also found in Turoyo ܐܰܠܳܗܐ ܡܚܰܣܶܐ ܠܶܗ (aloho mḥase leh).

- This is the masculine singular form; the feminine singular is ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܡܚܲܣܹܐ ܠܵܗ̇ (allāhā mḥassē lāh), and the plural is ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܡܚܲܣܹܐ ܠܗܘܿܢ (allāhā mḥassē lhōn).
- A common reply is ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܡܚܲܣܹܐ ܡܝܼ̈ܬ݂ܘܿܟ݂ (allāhā mḥassē mīṯōḵ, “May God absolve your dead.”)
