Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀡𑀺𑀲𑁆𑀲𑀢𑁆𑀢 (ṇissatta), 𑀡𑀻𑀲𑀢𑁆𑀢 (ṇīsatta), from Sanskrit निःसत्त्व (niḥsattva). Compare Old Marathi 𑘡𑘭𑘳𑘟 (nasuda), 𑘡𑘭𑘳𑘠 (nasudha).
