Etymology[edit]

From वैताग (vaitāg, feeling of being fed up), possibly from a vṛddhi derivative of Sanskrit वि (vi) + त्याग (tyāga). First attested as Old Marathi 𑘪𑘧𑘲𑘝𑘰𑘐𑘜𑘹 (vayītāgaṇe).
