Inherited from Magadhi Prakrit 𑀫𑀡𑀼𑀰𑁆𑀰 (maṇuśśa), from Sanskrit মনুষ্য (manuṣya). Doublet of মানুষ (manuś), মিনসা (minośa), and মনুষ্য (monuśśo).
