Inherited from Sanskrit मूत्र (mū́tra), from Proto-Indo-Aryan *múHtram, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *múHtram, from Proto-Indo-European *múHtrom. First attested 16th c. as Middle Bengali মূত (mut). Doublet of মূত্র (mutrô).
