Etymology[edit]
Uncertain. Probably from ปลัด (bpà-làt, “a title for or term of address to a deputy chief executive officer”) + ขิก (kìk, “phallus”), like ไอ้ขิก (âi-kìk) and ขุนเพ็ด (kǔn-pét).
