Jeju[edit]
Etymology[edit]
See main entry ᄀᆞᇀ다 (gawtda). This spelling arises from an analysis of the epenthetic 으 (-eu-) in the ending (으)다 (-(eu)da) as part of the original stem. However, this has been rejected by more recent analyses, including the official government orthography.
