Reinterpretation of etymology 1's characters as short for 尷尬跳舞. The interpretation first appeared in Mainland China as the country is dominated by Mandarin Chinese and are unaware of the original meaning in Hokkien. In recent years, this interpretation gradually spread back to Taiwan through popular culture.
