      そこで、まず先生(せんせい)が、「みんな、これを(おぼ)えているかい」そう()ってテープレコーダーのスイッチをいれました。「ジャン、ジャン、ジャーン……」という(れい)長崎(ながさき)の「おくんち」の(じゃ)(おど)のおはやしがテープから(なが)れてくるんです。
      Soko de, mazu sensei ga,“minna, kore o oboete iru kai” sō itte tēpu rekōdā no suitchi o iremashita.“Jan, jan, jān……” to iu rei no Nagasaki no “okunchi” no jaodori no ohayashi ga tēpu kara nagarete kuru n desu.
      Then, first the teacher, saying “Everyone, do you remember this?” switches on the tape recorder. “Jang, jang, jang...” a sample of the accompaniment to Nagasaki's “okunchi” dragon dance thunders from the tape.
