From 대- (大, dae-, “big”) + 규모 (規模, gyumo, “scale”).

- (SK Standard/Seoul) IPA(key): [ˈtɛ(ː)ɡjumo̞] ~ [ˈte̞(ː)ɡjumo̞]
- Phonetic hangul: [대(ː)규모/데(ː)규모]
- Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
