Short for 알지도 못하는 (사람) (alji-do mothaneun (saram), “(person) who doesn't even know”).

- Phonetic hangul: [알(ː)몯]
- Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
