Etymology[edit]
이간(離間) (igan) + 질 (-jil, derogatory action-marking suffix).

- Phonetic hangul: [이(ː)간질]
- Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
