Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Proto-Turkic *yitür- (“to lose”), equivalent to 𐰘𐰃𐱅 (yit-, “to be lost”) + 𐰼 (-ür). Cognate with Turkish yitirmek, Yakut сүтэр (süter).
