Suffix[edit]

-ܘܿܢܵܐ (-ōnā) (feminine -ܘܿܢܝܼܬ݂ܵܐ (-ōnīṯā), plural -ܘܿܢܹܐ (-ōnē))

  1. Diminutive suffix attached to nouns.
    ܟܲܠܒܵܐ (kalbā) + ‎-ܘܿܢܵܐ (-ōnā) → ‎ܟܲܠܒܘܿܢܵܐ (kalbōnā, small dog, puppy)
    ܐܲܚܵܐ (aḥḥā) + ‎-ܘܿܢܵܐ (-ōnā) → ‎ܐܲܚܘܿܢܵܐ (aḥōnā, little brother)
