Etymology[edit]

Shortening of 갓 (-gat-) + 니 (-ni).[1] Compare 언 (-eon), which is also used in northwestern Korean.

Usage notes[edit]

  • Used in place of where 겠니 (-genni) would be used in Standard Korean.
