-llyd

1. pejorative adjectival suffix, often indicating tendency to or abundance of

   ‎saim (“grease, fat”) + ‎-llyd → ‎seimllyd (“greasy”)

   ‎rhew (“ice, frost”) + ‎-llyd → ‎rhewllyd (“icy, frosty”)

   ‎rhagfarn (“prejudice”) + ‎-llyd → ‎rhagfarnllyd (“prejudiced”)

   ‎chwerthin (“to laugh”) + ‎-llyd → ‎chwerthinllyd (“laughable, risible”)

Usage notes

-lyd and -llyd are variants of the same suffix. -llyd is found after n, r and w and -lyd after other letters. The exception is m, which can be followed be either -lyd or -llyd.
