Below is a (non-exhaustive) list of well-known Standard Arabic tongue twisters.

  • مَنْ مَنَّ مِنْ مَنٍّ مُنَّ مِنَ المَنَّانِ (man manna min mannin munna mina l-mannāni)
    • Literally, Whoever has given from the gifts [of God] is going to be rewarded from the Ever-Giving
  • وَقَبْرُ حَرْبٍ بِمَكَانٍ قَفْرٍ وَلَيْسَ قُرْبَ قَبْرِ حَرْبٍ قَبْرُ (waqabru ḥarbin bimakānin qafrin walaysa qurba qabri ḥarbin qabru)
    • Literally, Ḥarb’s grave is in a forsaken place and there is no grave next to Ḥarb’s grave
  • أَلَمٌ أَلَمَّ أَلَمْ أُلِمَّ بِدَائِهِ / إِنْ أَنَّ آنٌ آنَ آنُ أَوَانِهِ (ʔalamun ʔalamma ʔalam ʔulimma bidāʔihi / ʔin ʔanna ʔānun ʔāna ʔānu ʔawānihi)
