Category talk:English plurals in -i with singular in -us, -os or -o

It should be noted that many of the words listed here are either hypercorrect (octopi, platypi) or proscribed (viri). Hypercorrect means that the rule is misapplied (for the examples, octopodes and platypodes would be the correct Greek plural.)
