untitled[edit]

For consistency, these templates should call {{form of}}. How? — Vildricianus 14:18, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Output change[edit]

Current Proposed

Plural of word.
Reflexive of word.
Feminine of word.
Et cetera.

I propose changing the output of these templates to include the word "form", where needed, to improve clarity. – Quoth 08:34, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

OK, thanks. I've created the discussion. – Quoth 06:34, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've created the template {{form}} which can be adjusted with css to turn off this difference, for those who prefer it. DAVilla 05:00, 2 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

To Category:Form-of templates. I don't see why Category:Form-of templates by language has a hyphen and this doesn't. Mglovesfun (talk) 11:15, 22 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree, I was going to suggest this myself. But I've been kind of trying to sort out and clean up that category anyway, and one thing I would like to do is to create subcategories for the different types of template. In particular, there would be a category for inflectional form-of templates like {{feminine of}} and another for alternative forms, spellings and such. —CodeCat 13:53, 22 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I've created the new category and moved the page contents over, but the templates themselves will need to be fixed by hand. —CodeCat 22:38, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

As a copy-editing pedant, I’d like to say that you are all awesome. Michael Z. 2013-05-22 02:39 z
