Ijekavian[edit]

Here is a nice dialect map for Central South Slavic.
Ijekavian isn't really an individual dialect, rather a particular isogloss based on the reflection of the Common Slavic yat phoneme. As one can see on the above map, there are also "ijekavian chakavian" and "ijekavian kajkavian" (not many people know that these exist at all ^_^).
So far a few lexemes populating this category belong to Serbian ijekavian Neo-Shtokavian.
With that in mind, and if there are no objections, I'd like to add lang= parameter to {{Ijekavian}}, which would the sort the Serbian lexemes into Category:Serbian Ijekavian with lang=sr option, and that category would be a subcategory of this one.
Also, all the other Ijekavian dialects would then be a subcategory of this one, if somebody decides to add them. --Ivan Štambuk 17:09, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
