Renaming "Louisiana Creole French" (ISO: lou) to "Lousiana Creole"

Almost every source that I've seen calls it Louisiana Creole, including ISO as of 2015 per this proposal which states the problems with calling it "Louisiana Creole French". Thus, we need to change the way we describe it as well. @Benwing2, @-sche. AG202 (talk) 12:23, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

Indeed Lousiana Creole seems to be more common, both overall and looking (e.g. on Glottolog) at what references about the lect call it. Support a rename. (Retain LCF as an alias, of course, since it is also used.) - -sche (discuss) 18:39, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

@AG202 This shouldn't be too hard to implement since there's no merging or splitting of languages; I've done this before, I think with Yazghulami and associated proto-languages. We change the appropriate language data module, rename the categories and change the name in headers. Benwing2 (talk) 06:23, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

I'm so glad I came across this because I had no idea how to implement it myself. The Louisiana Creole activists with whom I've (anecdotally) spoken prefer the term. It's simultaneously official, Wikipedia's exonym of choice, and is not misleading like the language's current alias (as Louisiana Creole, unlike Louisiana French, is not considered a French dialect).
