- Isn't that page for single-syllables only though? I too am confounded as to why pinyin entries are there - most of them already have existing character entries anyway! Can someone perhaps shed light on this? Tooironic 19:17, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- It looks like Mandarin pinyin contains any words that are spelled in Pinyin, where as Mandarin nouns contains any Mandarin noun, regardless of orthography. I don't recall whether there is a separate category for single-syllable Pinyin. I'm not sure I understand the logic of a Mandarin pinyin category, but evidently, someone must have thought it would be useful. -- A-cai 22:09, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
