Named after Guido Fanconi, the Swiss pediatrician who originally described this disorder.

  1. A rare genetic disease typically leading to acute myelogenous leukemia, and often accompanied by congenital defects such as short stature, abnormalities of the skin, arms, head, eyes, kidneys, and ears, and developmental disabilities.
