Borrowed from Avestan 𐬞𐬌𐬳𐬌⸱𐬳𐬌𐬌𐬀𐬊𐬚𐬥𐬆𐬨 (piš́i.š́iiaoθnəm),[1] from unknown element + *čyáwθnam (deed, work), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *čyáwtnam, from *čyáwati (to move, stir; to undertake), from Proto-Indo-European *kʷyéw-ti, from *kʷyew- (to set in motion), + *-tnam.[2]
