From a Pre-Germanic proterokinetic compound suffix *-én-ih₂ ~ *-n̥-yéh₂-. Compare Proto-Slavic *-yni.

Inflection[edit]
The suffix appears to have ablauted between *-inī in the nominative and *-unjō- in the rest of the paradigm.[1]
