Munda cognates include Juang kapas, Korwa kapaːs, Korku kapuso, Bondo kapa, Gata' kopa. Compare Sanskrit कर्पास (karpāsa) and Old Chinese (OC *pˤa-s) (B-S), both of which are probably Austroasiatic loans.
