Proto-West Germanic[edit]
Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Germanic *kazjô. Equivalent to *kaʀ (“vessel”) + *-jō. Cognate with Gothic 𐌺𐌰𐍃𐌾𐌰 (kasja, “potter”).[1]
