Reconstruction[edit]

Kroonen reconstructs this as Proto-Germanic *þekuz, which was remodeled as *þikwijaz in North-West Germanic(the same u-stem > ja-stem theme I've mentioned earlier). Anglom (talk) 21:18, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Orel 2003 also reconstricts a u-stem as does EIEC pg. 574. Perhaps this entry should have a note that the stem was remodeled as a ja-stem in NW Germanic languages as Kroonen suggests.Nayrb Rellimer (talk) 04:10, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
