That would give *gurasą wouldn't it? The *r is between obstruents, so it would vocalise. —Rua (mew) 14:23, 26 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Wouldn't *gʰreh₁som be possible? It would give *grēsą, but the long ē sound would explain the long ā sound in in some daughter languages and Samic. Vlorca (talk) 17:12, 28 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
All the descendants show a short *a. Proto-Samic has long *ā because it completely lacked a short *a phoneme. —Rua (mew) 18:49, 28 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
