Etymology[edit]
An improper simplification of the McCune-Reischauer romanization Sunhŭng of Korean 순흥(順興) (Sunheung), literally meaning "Following", "Obeying", or "Adhering to Prosperity" or "Success" but also used as a Sino-Korean transcription of a local clan name.

- A township administered as part of the municipality of Yeongju in North Gyeongsang, South Korea, (historical) formerly the seat of a district of Joseon Korea.
