Russian[edit]

I've read this in Uspenskii's travelogue 'From Orenburg to Ufa', 1890, it said: "А кто е знает!". What does е mean here exactly? 2001:1C02:1901:ED00:9503:643A:1276:A097 11:30, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

This abbreviations is not common in more modern Russian but I can see it was used in older literature. It's the same as "А кто его знает!" - "Who knows (it)!" (rhetorical).
You're better off asking questions about words in WT:RFT. I noticed this question by accident. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 14:17, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
