singular and plural[edit]
In my time at school we were taught that стихотворение is the singular form and стихи is the plural form. The forms стихотворения (plural) and стих (singular) were considered incorrect or illiterate, the latter also has a different meaning. If this is a rule, it wasn't strictly followed and these days seems to be forgotten. gramota.ru just mentions that стих is usually used in the plural form - стихи. --Anatoli 23:20, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
