@Benwing2 This verb and related words have an optional glottal stop after [s]. See pronunciation test cases. It becomes important to distinguish similar sounding but completely different words - суженный (narrowed), суженый (destined, of a lover, fiancé) and ссуженный (loaned). --Anatoli T. OK, does it look right now? Also, presumably the same thing happens to суживать and сужать (and reflexive variants)? Benwing2 (talk) 19:41, 21 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Please note that this pronunciation is used for clarity only, not too common in a fluent speech. No "phon" is necessary and yes, other related words feature this as well. The definition is simple - "to narrow (down)". --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 21:48, 21 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
