The IPA transcription for (19th century) Russian is incorrect.[edit]

ѣ is an [e] with pre-palatisation (and in OCS and Old Russian, specifically an open and long [ē]).

However, I cannot change this. The transcription does not show up in the coding when I click to edit, therefore, I assume the problem is that the IPA is pre-programmed somehow (this is really a bad idea) and it confuses the ѣ (called 'yat') with ы, the high-central, unrounded vowel [ɨ]. Is this a bot? Who can edit the code? — This unsigned comment was added by 67.187.30.225 (talk).

@Suzukaze-c The IP is confused. The current pronunciation is correct. ѣ is pronounced identically to Russian е, which is pronounced as [ɨ] when unstressed after [ts]. Benwing2 (talk) 16:27, 5 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
