adding pronunciations to old entries[edit]

@Vahagn Petrosyan. I've sometimes come across entries like this which don't have a pronunciation. It seems there's at least 16k lemmas on Wiktionary, but only 15k have pronunciations. I wouldn't mind devoting some time to adding the hy-pron template to all the leftover 1k words. Do you know if there's any way to retrieve a list of entries that lack a pronunciation? Like a way to get a list of all words in the 16k list, and all words in the 15k list? Hovsepig (talk) 05:11, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Hovsepig: there is certainly a way but I don't know it :) You can ask at Wiktionary:Grease pit to create a dump of those 1k lemmas. Vahag (talk) 09:49, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Hovsepig: when you go about adding the pronunciations, please keep in mind that I have omitted the section for obsolete or dialectal terms like ռավենտ on purpose. In general, I don't add a pronunciation when in doubt. Better no information than false information. --Vahag (talk) 22:52, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Vahagn Petrosyan: Ah, that's good to know. And I totally agree. It's so ugh how hy-wiktionary has վանկեր for dialectal words, but it's obviously made by people who don't even know the dialect -_- When I get a reply from the Grease Pit, I'll ask for ways to remove dialectal/obsolete words too. @Vahagn Petrosyan: speak of the devil, they already did it :D Hovsepig (talk) 22:56, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Lol I'm so dumb and didn't think there would be a search function. It looks like you also got 1K lemmas without any inflection templates. I can clean those up too sometime. It also seems that the more recent violations are by people who aren't you Hovsepig (talk) 23:09, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
It would be great to also add the missing inflection templates, but again not in cases where inflection is uncertain. Vahag (talk) 09:17, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
