@Fay Freak: Hi. Why did you remove the reference to H. Wehr? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 08:17, 30 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Atitarev Why do you add it to every page? Who has taught you so? What do you want to signify with it to the reader? We don’t “source” meanings from dictionaries, especially if it such a plain and common one. If it is a word for scale, you just add it as a word for scale. The vocalization should be correct anyway, and we already know you either know it from having heard the word or consulted the dictionaries or else found it somewhere transcribed, there are no other options. The dictionary links can also be found at the root page, to centralize; there one can actually click and look what at least the digitized dictionaries have written. So what does it bring the reader? I have also explained it to someone in User talk:Fay Freak § ش ع ل. Fay Freak (talk) 08:28, 30 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Fay Freak You're acting strange. "Who has taught you so?" It's a normal practice, not mandatory but commendable and it is my personal choice. Someone who is not smart as you, can look the term up and verify or learn something else. References serve many purposes. Please don't remove references from my edits. You don't have to add to yours, if you don't want to. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 08:48, 30 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Atitarev It is not the case that one can look up something there and learn more, because there is exactly the same and nothing else. In this case it is disrecommendable. Which purposes again? You only add the reference because it has already become a habit. The purpose I see being fulfilled is to divert attention. Worse in many cases, there is often the same reference over different parts of speech sections. It is like advertisements. Fay Freak (talk) 08:55, 30 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Fay Freak If you don't like the use of reference templates, you can bring them it up in the BP. They have been in use for ever. I only add one reference per entry, not for each section. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 09:07, 30 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Atitarev But for what, you have still not told. There is not even a discussion this way. Now everything weighs against it. Templates have been in use for ever but they must have a use in each case. Or why don’t we add a long list of dictionaries to every English word created? Fay Freak (talk) 09:13, 30 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
