Yes, Brahui 'ya' is the same as Persian ی, not Arabic ي (y). Besides that, Brahui uses the unusual letter ڷ (lhām). Brahui in Pakistan uses most of the Urdu letters, but Brahui in Afghanistan often substitutes Pashto letters for the Urdu ones. For example, standard Brahui ٹ, ڈ, ڑ, گ may be written ټ, ډ, ړ, ګ in Afghanistan; —Stephen 15:22, 17 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
