@Fay Freak कटुकफल (kaṭukaphala) (nom. sg. कटुकफलम् (kaṭukaphalam)) probably has no connection. It's a transparent compound कटुक (kaṭuka, pungent, bitter) +‎ फल (phala, fruit), and I can't find any descendants (indeed, in Monier-Williams it is marked with "L.", meaning it is only attested in dictionaries and not in text).
