@Fay Freak: I don't know if you have seen but {{R:xaa:Corriente|page=443, footnote 2}} derives from the rope etymon of قَنْبَر (qanbar).

About Greppin: he was a weak, sloppy scholar, and even engaged in plagiarism. Should be used with extreme caution.

The supposed Greek-Armenian Galen dictionary is full of translations of non-Greek words. It has a very complex history and is not especially attached to the Galenic corpus. Vahag (talk) 08:33, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
